Spring into a Leap Year at Beechwood

So, with Spring on the horizon and, hopefully, an end to the wet and stormy weather that’s left the country in a sodden state, we at Beechwood would love to welcome guests with a display of yellow daffodils – a sure sign of Spring! The Winters in the United Kingdom always seem so long and arduous and the first signs of new life in the gardens brings a sense of optimism to everyone. With the sunsets slowly moving later in February, we can start planning weekend breaks and days out. Trips to the coast always have a freshness about them at this time of year and you can see the first shoots of new life in the local wildlife and agricultural landscapes.

Valentine’s Day seems to support the feeling of optimism with love in the air. With it falling on a Sunday for this year, imagine your loved one’s excitement when they have a luxurious bed and breakfast stay to celebrate it? Naturally, you’ll also feel the love housed here as it’s Valentine’s Day everyday here at Beechwood! With 2016 also being a Leap Year there’s the prospect of marriage proposal on the final day of the month although that probably brings the prospect of disappointment to some as well. So make the most of the extra day and enjoy all that Spring offers in this beautiful and interesting part of the country.
